The impact Men on the Rise is aiming for is to: 1) by the midpoint of the pilot program, of the 50 youth participants, 90% (45) will have engaged with their mentor at least 10 times. 2) By the end of the pilot program, 80% will have engaged with their mentor at least 20 times. 3) By the end of the pilot program, it is our goal that we will have retained 70% of the program participants and they all will have accomplished the goals they the established in the beginning or at least on the path toward achieving them. We plan to do this by focusing on our long-term and short-term goals.

Long-Term
To create a program that is realistic and relatable.
One of the reasons for a lack of trust as well as limited involvement by youth in programs is because youth feel like the people who are a part of the program cannot relate to the issues, they face on a day-to-day basis. We want to assure our program participants that we hear them, we understand them, we support them, and we believe in them!
1st Short-Term Goal
Develop a youth violence reduction program that strengthens ties between the surrounding communities.
2nd Short-Term Goal
Engage 50 youth and 10 mentors to the longitudinal program and track key measures.
3rd Short-Term Goal
Continue to cultivate partnerships with other community-based organizations who may be able to provide additional resources to our program participants.
